Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This service is provided by Tinkadoo ("Tinkadoo", "we", "us"). By creating an account, buying credits or using the site you are entering into an agreement with Tinkadoo and you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
1. Who may use Tinkadoo
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the authority to agree to these terms on behalf of the organisation you represent. Tinkadoo is bought by adults for children; children do not hold accounts. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account, and for giving us accurate information and keeping it up to date.
2. What we provide
Tinkadoo generates personalised, print-ready PDF activity books from the child's first name, age band, theme and options you choose. Books are produced with the help of automated and AI systems, so each book is unique and cannot be reproduced exactly. Books are delivered as digital downloads; we do not print or ship physical products.
3. Your licence to the books
When you generate a book you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, print and use it for your own family, classroom or childcare setting. You may not resell the books, redistribute them commercially, or present them as your own product. We keep ownership of the Tinkadoo service, software, templates, artwork, branding and all associated intellectual property.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Tinkadoo for anything unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or spam-like;
- enter names or text that infringe someone's rights, or that are hateful, sexual or obscene;
- infringe intellectual property rights, including by uploading or requesting protected characters;
- interfere with the security of the service: no malware, probing, scraping, automated bulk generation, or circumventing credit limits or technical restrictions;
- reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.
5. AI-generated content
Book text and illustrations are produced by AI systems under our own editorial rules and automated quality checks. You are responsible for the details you provide (such as your child's name) and for reviewing a book before giving it to a child. Occasionally a page may contain an error or an unexpected result; automated output is not guaranteed to be accurate or suitable for educational assessment, therapy or any regulated professional purpose. We may filter, refuse or remove requests and outputs, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly attempt prohibited content. If you believe a book infringes your rights, contact us through the in-app support widget and we will review it and remove infringing material; repeat infringement leads to account termination.
6. Credits, payments and subscriptions
Books are paid for with credits, bought as one-time packs or included with a membership. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, currency, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. Pack credits expire three months after purchase; membership credits are granted each billing period. See our Refund Policy for refunds.
7. Availability
We work hard to keep Tinkadoo running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Generation depends on third-party AI providers and may occasionally be slow or unavailable. If a book fails to build, the credits spent on it are returned to your balance automatically.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment or chargebacks, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time. When access ends you can no longer generate books; download your existing books beforehand, as we may delete account data after closure.
9. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service, the content you submit, or your breach of these terms.
10. General
We may update these terms; material changes will be shown on this page with a new date, and your continued use means you accept them. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These terms are governed by the laws of the seller's country of residence, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute.
